Yes promo would be nice but it's not the end of the world. If the music is good, just enjoy it. The rest doesn't matter really. Here is a tip: try stanning for some indie artists. You'll learn to care more about the music than the charts. And for Beyoncé, it doesn't matter because she has nothing to prove and has more money than her and her grandchildren will ever need. It's better for her to make money from touring than singles.

But I disagree about her being above Idol or The Voice. Performing there isn't embarrassing and won't taint her career. And didn't she perform 1+1 on Idol? How did that turn out? People were raving about it for weeks.

lol, there's really nothing wrong with promo on these shows, especially the Voice because it gives songs great boost on itunes and the show & audience are all about vocals, which Bey can serve.
Plus award shows are waayyy too spread out for her to promote only on there.

No doubt she deserves a long break after the tour,but that's why the singles should be timed to fit her schedule.Anyway all these talk is irrelevant because it's obvious that she can promote if she wants to,but for reasons best known to her and some stans she has chosen not to promote bar award shows.

There is no point in releasing singles if you're not going to care. That's it, point blank. No song becomes a smash hit on its own. She's already achieved what she wanted this era, so why bother sending songs to radio? They'll just play what they want to anyway.

Why wouldn't the label send out singles? I mean it's an easy way to make some extra money and whether she's "promoting" or not, these singles are still shifting copies of the album.

Promo doesn't determine whether a song is a hit, either although it does help. Partition is going to be #1 on Urban tomorrow, it's topping the format that it was released, that's good.


Some of you guys act like she is sitting around doing nothing which is way off, she has been working her ass off promoting her album by touring.

Believing your own hype is the beginning of one's downfall and that's what will happen if you guys or Bey think "Beyonce is above promo". Every time you want to make that statement, think about the fact that Google, Walmart and Apple (Three biggest companies in the world) have numerous commercials.

And btw at this point, I'd rather Partition be the last single. Since she want to act like an indie artist, let's enjoy the songs on the album alone.

I never once said anything about her being "too tired to promote", I said that she never stops working, I'm sure she's working on something now.

My point isn't that I thinks he's above promotion, I wish she would promote but I don't think it's going to happen the way all of you want.

We're lucky she isn't retiring, we're lucky she put out a video to every song. She has said over and over again that commercial success isn't important to her anymore and that she isn't into promotion. The thing is, she doesn't have to. She is going to go mult-platinum soon on an album with no promotion.
