We can because Madonna released her best selling singles in 1989,1990,2005 and 2008 
Mariah sold like 50M singles in 25 years and Madonna 130M in 32 years so

Mariah has sold close to 70 million singles. AIWFCIY accounts for roughly 10 mllion alone. It tripled its sales since 2003.
Mariah also benefited from digital sales to a certain degree, shifting close to 20 million digital singles in the US alone since 2003.
receipts will be available in her new thread. calling her a mediocre singles seller when she sold over 35m singles in the US alone is pretty petty.

AIWFCIY sold 6,000,000 according to her receipts thread.She is not a mediocre singles seller.She just can't compete with Madonna.

* South Korea has a different digital industry, you dont pay for the individual song, you pay a monthly fee and can download as much as you want (before reaching a limit). In 2013 alone the song sold anoher 180,000 copies (excl. remixes, updated versions and versions from other albums other than MC).
those are JUST 6 individual countries

that's the thing. You don't know much about her sales, impact, career bc it doesnt interest you. However, you form an opinion, state it as fact while using wrong facts bc they suit your agenda. That is the definition of bias.
I mean, like her, or hate her, but have the decency to restrain yourself on subjects you dont have an informed opinion about.
People are so fast these days and are not informed. They look at these lists that are out, laugh at Mariah being not on them and spread either untrue information or inconsistent facts just bc they feel safe doing so in an environment where it is kind of popular to bash other artists.

I actually listened to all of her discography.And I know she is a legend.Disliking her is one thing and being delusional is another.
