105 · MELISSA STEEL f/ POPCAAN, "Kisses For Breakfast"
Weeks on Chart: 2 Weeks
Peak Position: #15
Debut Date: August 9, 2014
Appearing for the first time is English singer Melissa Steel. I first came across the song through the UK Singles Chart and opt to give it a try. It wasn't bad at all. Such a feel-good song that takes you back to summer. I love the chill and laid back vibe.
♫ "Kisses for breakfast, early in the morning. Love me, touch me, keep me warm." ♫
2013: FIFTH HARMONY, "Miss Movin On" |

104 · 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER, "Don't Stop"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #08
Debut Date: May 31, 2014
I am one of the biggest fans of "She Looks So Perfect" and it was disappointing to have this as the follow-up single. It's not really bad though. It was just forgettable and a bit weak compared to "She Looks So Perfect". Nevertheless, I will still give this band a try.
♫ "Don't stop 'cause you know that I like it. Every time you walk in the room, you got all eyes on you. And you know it, know it, know it." ♫
2013: ROBIN THICKE f/ KENDRICK LAMAR, "Give It 2 U" |

103 · BRITNEY SPEARS, "Perfume"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #16
Debut Date: January 18, 2014
It is very frustrating to see the Pop Princess finishing only as a wannabe. I spent my childhood during the Britney Spears era, and it is indeed saddening to see her ending up with such okay hits lately. "Perfume" is decent. I like the vulnerability, but it lacked spark.
♫ "I gotta mark my territory. I'll never tell, tell on myself but I hope she smells my perfume." ♫
2013: EMELI SANDÉ, "Next To Me" |

102 · UNION J, "Tonight (We Live Forever)"
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks
Peak Position: #07
Debut Date: August 2, 2014
Union J has been championing on youthful about-life anthems. This track serves as the lead single off their sophomore album, and it sounded great. It showcased Union J's impressive vocals coupled with great harmony. Not as strong as "Carry You" but still a worthy one.
♫ "If we stick together, it will be all good.
And if we stick together, we can live forever. We can do whatever." ♫
2013: ONEREPUBLIC, "If I Lose Myself" |

101 · BEYONCÉ, "Pretty Hurts"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #06
Debut Date: May 3, 2014
Beyoncé is ultimately one of the consistent artists who rank impressively on my lists. This year seems to be just a so-so for her. Despite all the clamor off her latest album, it just didn't work for me as much as her previous efforts did. Like this track. It's good but got used to it instantly. I like the message though.
♫ "Trying to fix something, but you can't fix what you can't see. It's the soul that needs the surgery." ♫
2013: DRAKE f/ MAJID JORDAN, "Hold On, We're Going Home" |

JOHN LEGEND, "All Of Me"
Best Cheesy Song Ever
Unarguably the cheesiest, sweetest and most sincere song released this year. The soul and vulnerability are just plainly striking. No matter how it became overplayed, I will still listen to this track. Simple yet stunning.
♫ "You're my downfall. You're my muse. My worst distraction. My rhythm and blues." ♫
RUNNER-UP: ED SHEERAN, "Thinking Out Loud" |
