As I said before, if Beyoncé is considered limited vocally, then what does that make the rest of her peers? No one has said she is as good as Whitney or whatever. But she is a very skilled and talented singer. Going to such efforts to try and disprove something so obvious only looks pressed.
Rest of her peers? Well there either better than her and slowly phased out of the music industry or they are still around and selling slim to none, shelved albums, flop albums etc.. All because Beyonce has been ushered in right where she wants to be - on top.. Her raw natural talent hardly justifies this position, as we have a dozen of singers far better than Beyonce, but they are no where to be seen.. Millions of dollars are pumped into the product that is Beyonce, she hardly writes, she hardly produces, all im going to say is she has a A**** Team. Better than best. Until i see an album thats entirely written, half written and produced by Beyonce ill come and argue this further. Not to mention the countless fraudulent claims of penning a song, and then being caught out, or saying she directed a music video and came up with the concept, and then it came out that she copied it from 3 old white ladies from the 60/70's.. She has been in the industry for 10+ years! A legend is supposed innovate, Beyonce has shown little to NO growth since she was introduced in DC, except she shouts when she sings now, throwing the entire song off rendering it irrelevant.. Are the people disagreeing just ignoring these videos? They keep getting posted, but people keep conveniently not addressing them and continue to speak nonsense. If you come in here and post an example of a current pop singer doing anything more creative with their voice than what she is doing in these two videos, I will be more than glad to re-evaluate my stance.
Great vocal registration isn't a coloratura gift. It's a product of good vocal support and control. You can hear effortless switching back and forth between registers in all kinds of voices, both coloratura and non-coloratura.
And Mariah is most definitely a coloratura voice. Her voice isn't heavy enough to be a full-lyric and she constantly executes fast passages with immense virtuosity and control. Her voice breaks between registers (now) because it has deteriorated and she has almost no middle voice now.
And Bassey is a dramatic mezzo voice. She doesn't have the androgynous sound a contralto would have in the lower and middle registers and lacks the low tessitura.
you can refuse it how much you want but your explanation is very perfunctory and unvalid. Patti for example, she definitely has good breathing control and always sing with support but everytime she swichs or slides up and down between the registers, she always breaks, you can hear it in every of her performances
Mariah is not a coloratura again and her voice is heavy ENOUGH to be considered a full lyrico ( how much is ENOUGH is another story ). ya ! she can executes fast passages with immense virtuosity AND with a lot of breaks, lack of consistent tone and can't hide her voice changes especially from falsetto to chest
And Bassey is a dramatic coloratura contralto. how the hell do her middle and lower registers not sound androgynous a coloratua always has a lighter tone and higher tessitura than normal contralto and the lack of low tessitura because she' rarely use full of her range including singer lower b3 as well as her head register but it's still be recognized by the characteristics like unique dark smoky color in the middle register,the long chest register extension in the low range sound clearer than extension in middle range, she steadily use vibrato in lower range with good control

Why does an artist need to entirely write and produce an album to be taken seriously? Ella Fitzgerald never did that, Judy Garland never did that, Frank Sinatra never did that, Barbra, Celine, Mariah, Whitney never did. Why is this a requirement for Beyoncé? She does write and she does produce. The fact that she is involved but does not do all the work completely matters little.
Also in reference to Single Ladies copying that video, it was obviously inspired by it, but it in no way copied the video. Some of the moves are similar, and the set is similar but the source was very clearly stated and it was made new. Should a concept be completely original for it to be good? Does the fact that she made a huge statement by releasing such a simple music video become negated because the idea was not inspired from her own mind? Did Michael copy the Moonwalk or did he take the move and make it into his own?
You've heard she's better than Mariah, the next Whitney, better than Leona but you've never heard that from me so please keep that out of the replies you send me. I know there are probably many undiscovered singers better than her, but this is pop and Beyoncé is the full package: a great voice, great dancing ability, an almost unmatched stage presence, ability to stand on her own in the pop landscape, driven, beautiful, stylish, etc. I know it's unfortunate that great singers can't get this exposure but it's kind of the way it is in a post MTV world.
Lastly, I'm not sure where you've gotten the definition of Legend from, but innovation is not a part of it (though it does help). Legends are people who are well known for doing something extremely well. So, Diana Ross is a legend despite not really innovating. And I guess if you don't consider a landmark visual surprise album to be innovative in anyway, then you have clouded judgement and I can't really take you seriously.
Beyonce is probably the most capable singer of the people in 'her box,' but I find someone like Jill Scott a bit more "creative."

Her performance of You Got Me with the Roots (which she wrote.. you prob knew this but I'm just saying it for the world's sake) is so good.. The way she changes it to not sound like the one we all know is amazing.
