Btw I've always said (and will continue to say) MS will easily be her biggest win by far from any state. She's just too big and popular there. Too many black voters against Sanders too

This push behind the lead poisoning of Flint? It only gained national exposure and attention after she put it in the media, forcing it to become a topic of debate in the presidential election. The governor of Michigan is working like never before due to this new pressure on him.


She and her husband have done plenty. People are petty, by downplaying or being ignorant to insinuate she did and does nothing for those of color. But at the end of the day, you'll believe what you want to believe.

CDF is good of her. Although most people's contentions with Hillary is the prospect of her prioritising her donors over her constituency. So it would be more productive to list what she has done while in office.

My post was clearly about the Clinton presidency era.

Black folks voted for Obama because of his beautifully run campaign. Can't say the same for Bernie I'm afraid. Of course there were some who voted for him because for the first time ever, a black president was a realistic prospect. It's important to note that many black people did vote for Hillary in 2008 though.

Hillary was against the original bill because it would have hurt single mothers collecting alimony. The bill she voted for in 20001 came with the amendments she pushed through protecting single mothers and children, but this version was rejected by the Republican house. The version that passed in 2006 was written by Joe Biden and Hillary didn't vote on that bill because she was in the hospital with her husband who had gotten heart surgery.

Even with the amendments about single mothers, it was still full of all the other toxic parts in all three versions.

Ask some black people who are voting for her. They'll be able to tell you how her and Bill have impacted positively on their lives. Surely, that would be the most productive thing to do? We can go round in circles debating who's done more for black people, specifically those living in the poorest areas. The only people who really know are black peoples living in the poorest areas.

But I've finally read it and she was basically a white woman who went into white schools and asked questions. Wow. Such a dare devil. And they are media outlets running the story like she went on some dangerous epic task. Such a joke

I remember a poll coming out saying something like 87% of black people voted for Obama because he was black. Maybe it was satire idk. But I do know a very large portion of them did for that reason.

His campaign was beautifully run in the sense that he was the 1st to presidential candidate to utilise social media effectively and he has changed the game forever. He ran on the promise of change and he looked like change personified so people were convinced, and change is what everyone wanted after Bush's mess. But he ended up a bit of a diet republican so Bernie can't even run on "change" anymore.

Hillary is running on whatever people want to here at that moment of the year. I don't think thats very appealing either. So if she does get a nom. I think the GOP will win. Think of it this way, you've had 8 years of Obama. Are the American people satisfied enough with Obama to vote in another Obama lite? I don't think they are

Yes. The Democrats rallied around him after the Republican onslaught. It became more partisan than anything, and it angered the party. It was no longer about what he did, but rather what they could get out of it

It's ridiculous to say that most black people were voting for Obama for his policies when we ALL know that's not true I'm not saying Clinton hasn't earned the black vote but she's definitely capitalizing on name recognition and popularity. The average voter only watches what's on the news/Internet and votes based on that.

And I think Trump will beat Hillary as well. Hillary will just be more of the same, and people are tired of the status quo. Trump will shake things up, for better or for worse.

Hillary got a nice amount of the black vote in '08. But he, like Hillary, is actually good at connecting with black people. Bernie is not.
