All I can say is it'll come to you when it comes to you, and you can't force it. Prior to my recent writing binge I probably went 4-5 months where I wrote a total of songs. Before that it seemed I was writing a new song every day. Sometimes you just need to go live a little and find your frame of behind before you can write again.

Look carefully at your daily routine and change it up! New surroundings or new ventures can produce new ideas and new takes on old ideas. It also wouldn't hurt to look at your old stuff and try to rework them for different singers or different vocal types.

I've gotten the itch to start up again but it's so discouraging to try to pursue this music thing because there are no opportunities and the opportunities that are there seem to be like either a huge rip off or just something I can't do because I can't record anything atm and I'm only just starting out with production in addition to the lyrics

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated cause even with me trying to start up again I'm having writers block
