No, the industry did. It was expected to do north of 20 million. It is flopping and it's summer. Unless it will have amazing legs (Its cinemascore indicates it won't) it will be a flop.
If you expected it to do even less you expected it to be an even bigger flop. That's all. An big cast romcom with at least two romcom veterans should be able to do much more.
