So essentially she's biting her tongue about gay marriage now because it doesn't look good for her credibility considering she's a transgender woman. She just supports it because it'll make her look like a hypocrite considering that there's nothing "traditional" about her life and most don't "get" it either.
She always sounds really confused and illogical. This explains her behavior on the show. There was a clip where she was talking about transgender people as if she's not one of them and then she said she wants to date men now now because it's what a "normal" woman does despite being sexually attracted to women. I feel sorry for her. She really wants to be "traditional," but she can't be.
So she wants the world to treat her with respect and normality but she's not really here for same sex couples to be treated with respect and normality by being allowed to marry? Interesting.
This makes me really sad. We are all part of a community persecuted for our sexuality and gender. We need to stick together, and this answer that is similar to the ones homophobic parents give when asked if they support their gay kid's life is disturbing.
She's from the older generation so I don't think you can blame her for thinking that way. It's just the way things are. Instead of making a witch hunt about it, just accept her point of view and move on with your life. It doesn't affect you whatsoever.
Bruce is probably homo which is why he switched to Caitlyn, so as a woman he can feel comfortable with a man per tradition's view. Kris Jenner pretty much looks like a Marco from Degrassi, so he was already there as Bruce and Kris
I somewhat agree with some of what you're saying. I actually think her transition came from a place of wanting to fit gender norms, which is SUPER ironic but whatever. I certainly would NOT want to stand in the way of her happiness.
All I've been hearing from ATRL is "Gays don't support trans!!! Stop being so judgemental!" and now the trans person doesn't believe in gay marriage the reverse warholian experience
