Anyway, I only said he did good things and bad things for sure. But y'all are making him look worse than Hitler.

These girls tend to blow a few things out of proportion cause it's personal to them (although personal insecurity, food shortages and power outages DID skyrocket with Chavez). I'm not a supporter of blaming inflation entirely on Chavez cause Venezuela has had a chronic problem (mostly regarding our dependence on oil prices and a highly speculative economy) for decades. They try to make it seem like inflation being at 20-25% is something super alarming and completely new to Venezuela but this is the same people that didn't complain when it was at
100% in 1996, before Chavez. But because foreigners don't understand the inflation problem they love to throw around big numbers like "nearly 30% annual inflation" cause it will impress them.
I do think the public school system went up (from personal experience when I was doing community service for college and for things I've asked poor people, although I'm sure some public schools are still a mess) but some of the policies were disastrous like for example he tried to teach careers like medicine in school's classrooms (not college rooms, actual elementary schools) in half the time it would take to do it in a traditional college in Venezuela. I'm not even sure they had access to a laboratory to perform autopsies and such

Another huge mistake I think was giving little kids books that were free but were obviously biased towards his government so they would grow up being supporters of him nearly ipso facto.
