Anybody can do different genres, but can they change their voice to fit that genre? Britney can change her tone and sing in different styles, while Kelly not so much. Of all those videos of Kelly, she sounds exactly the "SAME", that's not versatility. And you guys have the nerve to call her vocalist of this generation when that title should go to Christina who is way more versatile.

There have been many, many critics with knowledge on the subject that always bow to Kelly's vocals and admit that she can sing anything, even if they don't like her. 9 times out of 10 if they are reviewing her songs and give the songs a bad rating, they ALWAYS make a note about her exceptional her voice is. You just can't deny it and she is the epitome of versatile, IMHO.
Take a look at her current tour, she's doing fan requests and singing a very wide number of covers from artists of different genres: From Coldplay to Etta James, to Demi Lovato to Pat Benatar. Creed & Britney, Patty Griffin & Cee Lo. Just to name a few.
She's CURRENTLY the queen of versatility and you can't deny it, even if you're not a Kelly Clarkson fan
Now, that you think about it, there are almost more genres in Bionic than in Kelly's albums.

You're right, Bionic was extremely diverse, it appealed to a wider range of audiences compared to Kelly's albums. Hopefully Kelly can branch out a little on her next album so we can get those album sales.
