Christina will probably always be overshadowed by Britney, unless she gets her **** together musically.

*sigh* I know her dancing isn't what it use to be, that's obvious. But that WASN'T what I was saying. I said Britney, since her debut, has grown as an artist. And she did. As far as dancing goes, Britney didn't really step her choreography up until the OIDIA era. She wasn't dancing like that during the BOMT era. So yes, she did grow as a dancer compared to how she was when she first came on the scene.

IDK, her attitude is the pits. Although I guess it is necessary. She's been living in the shadow of other girls for years now.
I mean with Bionic when she spoke about it in interviews and talked about how she was influenced by all these different things and by Burlesque it kind of started off good. But then we got the videos and the material, but it just didn't translate well. Everything was a ****ing mess for the most part.

Unfortunately, to the overall public, Christina Aguilera will always be Jen Brady. While, Britney Spears is Marcia Brady.

First it was Britney (You can argue her drive now but in her early years she punched you with music, videos, and ridiculous performances. She was not letting anyone come for her. She knew her voice and what worked and didn't work for it, unlike Xtina)
Then Pink
Then Beyoncé
Then Gaga
There will probably be others too.
I also think she tried to do too much at an early age. Her genre hopping is cute but trying to show the people SO much will only turn them off, especially when she is very talented. You'd expect constant genre switching from gerls with little talent who are desperate to stay relevant. Christina possesses all the necessary components for a long successful career, but she carries herself as such a basic bitch. Ugh.

Christina always had what you need to be a superstar, but she lacked the captivating personality. Releasing music the same time as Britney and having history with her from the MMC days hurt X-Tina more than helped her. By those facts alone, she was doomed to play second-fiddle.

Britney needs to go ******* crazy musically for her next era. She can keep delivering the most perfectly fun pop songs and videos like on FF, and no one will bat an eye.

Sure she can go deeper into the type of music she's already been doing, but if you want to talk about "maturing" then you obviously have to drop the partying/dancing/sexing at some point. And if not drop it then don't make it the theme for your album. Since Blackout Britney has regressed musically. What is her next era going to be like?

Most likely urban-driven and you will deal.
Britney Spears doesn't need to be in everyone's grill about being
an "artist" and showing everyone how she's "grown musically" by
creating an album that doesn't suit the person she is or wants to be.
As long as she's happy and creating music, we're happy and enjoying it.

Grammy's should count, but they don't.
Britney has TRIPLE the sales Xtina does WW.
FF sold more in the US than Bionic did WW.
And Britney will always be more iconic than Xtina.

- First of all i care for music not sales so i dont care how many copies your fave has sold in her career.
- I dont listen to Britney or Christina but i know for sure one has talent the other has none.
- In your definition of Iconic not mine and I'm not Pressed, not for crap music.

The thing is, is that Xtina lost it. If he hadn't taken such a long ass break a couple of years back and hadnt shaded Gaga, she would have superseded Brit. We all know Xtina's voice slays. She's the only artist to give me chills with more than one of their songs.

I wonder if things would've turned out differently if Xtina was America's Sweetheart and Britney was the total bitch?

Refreshing thread! We had good debates and points made all around. This was actually, dare I say it? A quality thread with entertainment and good music talk, all without turning it into an unnecessary stan war. This must be one of those days on ATRL....though freebitch tried it, no one took the bait really.

And Vin I think Britney does want to make an album that consist of ballads & mid-tempo tracks. That's what the Original Doll era was suppose to be but sadly it never happened. But if you look at the songs she writes, it's usually always songs that are mid-tempos. Not the commercial pop she mostly records.

I already know that and no is saying she NEEDS to do it.
And isn't Ke$ha trying to get all serious soon with her material? You support that?

Somewhat yea! She still would've had to work on her performances though. She's not as bad of a dancer as people like to make her out to be. If X-Tina would put in the work and commit to it, she would be a better dancer, not great or amazing, but solid and good for sure.

Britney has no talent?
She plays the piano, has written over 10 songs alone, CO-WRITTEN at least 45% of her overall catalog, created video concepts for BOMT, IAS4U, Toxic, Womanizer, Criminal and MUCH more.
http://www.youtube.com/#/watch?v=JQbag0zu8uM
That's Britney's REAL voice and her natural register, recorded and written by her in 2008.
Those vocals **** on Ke$ha, Rih, and Katy.
No talent?
Why don't you look at the link I posted and then comment.

Xtina got a cute little two step. Whenever I saw her dance I always thought of Britney though because that was her lane. It is probably one of the reasons she stays away from it.

Oh I see. I won't stray too far but the point still stands!
This thread was fun and cute though. There was only like one troll who tried to ruin it.

But Britney is talented. Judging by your comments in this thread it's safe to say you know little to nothing about her so you're going off your misconceptions. Britney is a damn good song writer and actually writes music with substance. She also knows how to play piano and has contributed her piano skills to her music (i.e. 'Someday I will understand') she has also produced and composed music and is fully capable of doing so. She also has been coming up with the concept to her videos since day one and most recently created the concept to her 'Criminal' video.
Britney can sing, but a vocalist she is not. She has compensated in other ways for her lack of vocals through out her career just like Madonna and Janet.
