I will allow *brief* explanations.
What exactly is *brief* on your terms.... (don't worry i'm not writing an essay anyway that'd be a mess)

1 or 2 sentences. Like I said, I'd really love for the lyrics to speak for themselves (or at least let the judges interpret the song the way they want to. A great part of music is that it can mean different things to different people.)

Ok, I'm just gonna type like a fifteen word sentence... I like the part about the whole "interpretive" thing so I guess I'll let the song speak for itself more than I would've done so before
I hope I never get dragged too much. I know I'm not the best writer in the world but I've never really had any negative feedback, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it.

Not to worry! This game is all about helping people improve so I tried to make my feedback constructive, as in what you can fix.
I sent in my song, I kind of wanted to go for an exaggerated version of myself with it I've never really been criticized on my writing before, so I'm excited/anxious to see what happens.
Just so you know, I'm not good with judging from an emotional aspect so I'm looking more at the technical side of things. I'm sure the other judges will serve up the parts I'm not covering
Just as a heads-up to the rest of the contestants, don't be afraid to share your more intimate side. Yes, I like structured pieces, but I also like it when they have meaning behind it. I don't want you to confess your deepest, darkest secrets, but it wouldn't hurt to make this introduction personal, in a sense.
