It's sad that if she went back to that though, most of her fans here would combust because they're so shallow about her music status.

Without saying she had The Fame Monster backing or whatever excuses the people here pull of their asses, she got 1.1M (or 600K which is still good) sales for BTW with a somewhat unique track with substance, compared to the 260K or whatever with a generic song with very little substance. that comparison of BTW single sales to Applause single sales isn't fair. Those sales were not because of substance/content of the song.. they were because of the era that preceded them..

Okay I got banned last month so missed the messy album release. But i'm here now, so here's my take on ARTPOP:

Gypsy, Sexxx Dreams and Swine
It's a good album, I was very impressed by its depth. It really felt like a Gaga album in its essence. I gave it a B+ on my review blog.
As far as singles go - Venus, Gypsy and Sexxx Dreams are most smart choices.

I said in my post people need to stop using that excuse because it's silly. The things that people worry about the GP not liking, are typically just stuff people don't like here. ATRL is the worst representation for the general public. People don't care too much about a video being good or bad, if they like a song, they'll buy a song. I know I'm the same. And it's not like Lady Gaga all of a sudden became weird overnight in one era. She's always been seen as weird. The era switch is a defense mechanism Monsters use as an excuse to cover up her sales and her doings.

Obviously, but a good music video will give a song more exposure than a bad one, which is what happened with Bad Romance for example.

Music videos are extremely important, especially for visual artists like Gaga. Believe me that The Edge Of Glory would have sold way more if the video wasn't such a tragedy. Anyhow, seems like I jinxed DWUW too much yesterday. I need to see it getting green updates again.
