If you think the difference is just one word.
You have no idead what you're talking about.
Um. The song is identical, word for word except for that one word. Oh wait, I forgot. She added some "Ohhhhs", so yeah I guess she did completely change the song!
Queen of song-writing. I'm glad she's winning song-writing awards with 15+ people while actual song-writers like Marina get ignored for their actual sole writing, production and talent. Poor everyone.
She's lied about nothing, and there's no evidence that supports that she has.
I remember watching Barbara Walters interview Beyoncé about "Bootylicious," and she told Barbara about how she came up with the idea for the track. And I was just like, "What?" I called Mathew-which was a big mistake; I got emotional, and I apologized after-but I called Mathew and said, "Mathew, like, why?"
And he explained to me, in a nice way, he said, "People don't want to hear about Rob Fusari, producer from Livingston, N.J. No offense, but that's not what sells records. What sells records is people believing that the artist is everything." And I'm like, "Yeah, I know, Mathew. I understand the game. But come on, I'm trying too. I'm a squirrel trying to get a nut, too."

id "Bootylicious" come together in a similar fashion?
I came up with the idea to build a track using the guitar riff from Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen." I really wanted to play the riff from "Eye of the Tiger," but I was flipping through my CDs in the studio and I couldn't find it. But I saw the Stevie Nicks CD and I remembered that the riff was similar.
I figured I'd put the guitar loop on there temporarily, and later go into the studio with a guitar and replay it, because I'd learned, after sampling Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" for Will Smith's "Wild Wild West," that I didn't want to lose 50% of the publishing. I vividly remember telling Mathew Knowles, "Mathew, you got to book me into your studio and let me replay that riff." It was Guitar 101! One note!
But Mathew didn't want to do it?
He didn't want to do it. So 50% got cut for one note. That whole experience was bittersweet for me.
how tacky of you using part t of to twist his word.
there's no mention of cheating. false credit there. it's all about he didn't get the 'fame' for the song.
Beyonce wrote the song based on instrumental track fusari gave you sould drag him for trying pagrasim and not mentioning his partner 'Falonte Moore '
Quote:
“It was great working with Beyonce,” said Fusari. “She’s an extremely gifted artist, and she’s the real deal as a songwriter.” Fusari went on to produce three songs on the Destiny’s Child Christmas album (8 Days Of Christmas), and co-wrote the song, “Winter Paradise.”
beyonce own 50% of the song while rob fusari and his partner Falonte Moore together own 50%.
YESSSS it does. 99% of the time credits are ordered in level of contribution. I guess if you are an enthusiast for someone who is normally not credited, or credited near last, this information would be new to you.
no it's not
I bet you know nothing about credit system.
the bookelt, songwriter databases(ascap, bmi), publisher's database (warner, sony, univesal and others)
they have different order, it means nothing.
what's important is actual credit percentage of each of writers.
just like katy perry own 15% 'birthday' but first in her album booklet. while other own more than her -Bonnie McKee own 20%
or
'This is how we do' , which katy perry own 25%, while rest max martin & Klas Åhlund owns 75%, but katy perry is first on her album bookelt.
katy perry is first on every song of her album booklet while she' doesn't own most credit.

hmm.. you didn't notice the time difference?
beyonce 4:32 , demo 4:14
did beyonce just add noise or empty sound for 18 seconds.. hmmm
demo bridge 3:42 ~3:52 vs Beyonce bridge 3:42~4:03 - I mean..
she changed the drum on first verse (1:03~ both song)
and overal polish, change the arrangment slightly
for example
demo 3:40~ vs beyonce 3:40~ - beyonce add different drum pattern to build up sound to bridge
demo 3:53~ vs beyonce 4:05~ - can you hear it? no string sound on beyonce
she simply gets credit for contribution as overall. she got 15 out 100 and rest to dream and tricky.
Right? Example, the song "Smack Into You" by Jon McLaughlin was released and at the time it was written and produced by The Dream. Beyonce ended up using it for her album - same lyrics, almost identical production. However, one word was changed (yes, one). It changed from "Smack" to "Smash", and surprisingly Beyonce got BOTH credits for writing and producing.
I notice a lot of people talk about the number of writers on a track like it dilutes the art somehow... Collaboration is at the heart of humanity and it doesn't make a song or album less relevant or worthy of respect just because there are more writers. Working with multiple writers brings different perspectives and more diversity to the sound of the different tracks. People should be thankful they're being sought out by one of the most widely-respected people of the last few decades.
If you think the difference is just one word.
You have no idead what you're talking about.
It IS just one word though. Adding some melisma and stuff is called interpreting. It's what artists do literally every time they cover a song, no legitimate artist covers a song identical note by note to the original.

None of that is songwriting. The song at it's core is the same.
^Neither Kelly nor Howard (who produced it) got a writing credit.
Kelly did not give herself a credit for all of the changes she made.

Explain why she received writing credits, where the demo and her version have the SAME LYRICS except for the one word. Before the song was brought to Beyonce, the credit was just The Dream. After it was brought to Beyonce, and that one word was changed, she received writing credits.
