A little rant on Vine.

I love vine. However, I'm tired of these HORRID, useless, good for nothing songs blowing up the top 10/top 20 because of viral vine videos. Like honestly, what on EARTH is "Nasty Freestyle"???? Nobody knows what it is!! It should not be in the top 10, let alone the top 50 (I understand it's popular on iTunes and Spotify but still). Ugh I'm so annoyed. Now because this good for nothing song is taking up space in the top 10, better songs like "Hey Mama" and "Talking Body" will have to suffer a bit, and wait longer.

) But I'm completely disagree. If anything, Streaming is showing what people is more looking for.. Is it trash or good thing? That's pretty subjective. I'm not a fan of "Trap Queen", I don't listen to it anymore because I got tired of it. But I'm amazed of how well it's doing, but I'm going to deny or make its sucess less impressive

Songs like "Talking Body" and "Hey Mama" need to be more popular, that's it

And yes, I did just get all those videos together to make a statement. The past decade had a lot of great songs done by male artists and bands, but the 2010s has simply just been lacking. And most of the male artist songs I like this decade haven't even been hits.

Only time will tell, but it's run is giving Party Rock Anthem teas, and with streaming helping songs' longevity on the charts UF! might knock that song out of the Top 5.

I don't understand how NF got big... Where did it come from and WHY??? I don't get it the song isn't catchy, it's 2 minutes long, and there are no quotable lyrics

I'm not liking a lot of the Drake/Kanye copycats showing up like Weeknd and Future. Fetty Wap's song I absolutely love but I haven't liked any of his other material. Jeremih and Omarion are making random reappearances by hopping on trends and not with their original brand of RnB so I'm also iffy on them...

RnB is my favorite genre so

I'm loving the resurgence of RnB but I'm not so sure on the artists. More just on the sound and the songs.

Trilogy was his best work imo and he hasn't done anything to surpass it or show he isn't just taking after the road that Kanye set in 808s and Drake perfected in TC. That's just my opinion though you obviously like him a lot more, shows how tastes differ

I'm just doing a quick top 10 tonight and I'll elaborate further tomorrow to make it a Top 30 with more info. I'm going to watch TQ's airplay between now and Tuesday and see what happens. It's dropping at Urban, and looks close to peaking at Rhythmic. Pop is and will be its only other format. So the order of my Top 3 may change by Tuesday. I'll have to watch #9 and #10 too for the same reason.

Why TOL above Nasty Freestyle? NS is outselling it and out-streaming it by FAR. The only thing TOL has going for it is declining airplay compared to NS's negligible airplay.

I am hoping for UF to knock out "The Twist." That's why I wanted 17-18 weeks at #1 for UF. But having UF stop at 14 weeks while building longevity in every other catagory, and knowing SYA virtually eliminates any chances TQ has at hitting #1, may actually be better than UF having gotten the 17-18 weeks at #1 and getting replaced at #1 with a song like TQ.

It's a hard call between the two outcomes, but right now I'm really glad SYA is protecting #1, and should be for a few more weeks at least (I'm saying 7-8 #1 weeks, but I guess conservatively too), by which time TQ won't be a threat. And if NF is as bad as y'all say it is, maybe it'll burn out as quick as it's igniting.

That'll likely be two more songs to watch between now and Tuesday. Since Billboard issues all of its format airplay charts on Monday, it would make so much sense to use that airplay since that data is from the same day as the sales and streaming. Instead BB has to wait until Wednesday

. Tuesday is as close as I can estimate the airplay before the charts are issued, so I'll watch 9 & 10 just like I'm watching 2 & 3.
