i agree
the sound has been making a return ever since Bruno dropped Unorthodox Jukebox and we saw an influx towards the Urban sound
even Carly Rae Jepsen is dabbling in it

The 2000s had some REALLY good songs by male artists and bands
And yes, I did just get all those videos together to make a statement. The past decade had a lot of great songs done by male artists and bands, but the 2010s has simply just been lacking. And most of the male artist songs I like this decade haven't even been hits.
There's a difference

Are you expecting current male musicians to sound like those who were big last decade?

Carly gives me Disney Princess vibes. A fan like myself can see that, which is why she's more interesting than Jason who is just trendhopping every single era. The only consolation with Want To Want Me is that he's not coming off as a douchebag like he did with Talk Dirty and Wiggle.
And I didn't say Shut Up And Dance was good. It's average at best. The beat is great, but the lyrics are so corny and the lead singer sounds like he is 40 years old. It grew on me a LITTLE, but not a whole lot.
And you keep wishing yourself that R&B dominates. It ain't happening.

1. That's your opinion. A song that's able to connect with the public can be considered good. That's what music is meant to, isn't it?
2. Carly is as trendhopping as Jason. She isn't any better than him.
3. Dude, have you seen Billboard's top 10? Urban and R&B are back. Stop living in denial.

All these new urban artists suck so bad. I don't get how they're relating to anyone other than being used for quick lil Vines. People really like using stupid songs for that.
Hoping Tove can hit the top 10 here at least for a week.

All of them were succesful and of course that's why you think they're better. Do a little research please.
Posting 1000x videos doesn't make your argument strong that's just SPAM.
