Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, so that means people can disagree with his opinion if he or she chooses, too. It works both ways.
I agree with you but I don't think it's the opinion people have the real problem with but the influence that opinion could have. Would you feel differently if he said 'Being gay is wrong and women shouldn't be allowed to have abortions even if they are raped, they should be forced to have the baby'?. Would you consider that too far?
What is too far for a public figure?
WHY did he say this?? it was stupid and i dont care how old he is for one he will b an adult soon and need to watch wat he say.. he is already cocky as it is and this is not helpin
-A girl could get raped, why should she be forced to carry that reminder with her for the rest of her life?
-The baby may inherit some genetic condition which would mean it wouldn't have a life anyway
-It's an unwanted child
-The mother may not be financially/physically/mentally capable of bringing the child up
Just because Justin Bieber is 16 gives him no excuse to have such a narrow minded view on these things, I'm 16 myself and I know a damn more than he does
Firstly, yes he's entitled to his own opinion, but he's a public figuire who has a huge following, esp. from the younger crowd, and when you say something like "being gay is a choice"... Alot of those younger kids who look up to him, are going to be influenced... he's gonna need to learn to shut his mouth when it comes to topics like this, otherwise he won't be relevant come his 20th birthday.
On the abortion thing.... it should be the women's choice, and not anyone else's to decide, and are you really gonna tell a woman who got raped, that didn't want to be pregant, didn't want a child, force her to go through the nine months of pregancy? It's a huge decision, and should only be made my her, herself or perhaps joint with her husband/boyfriend/ or significant other. Thats just how I feel anyways....
What's wrong with him saying that it is a choice? What harm is he doing?
Everyone in here might not think it is a choice, but he obviously does. What is wrong with that?

He is a public figure with a huge following. He is influential to a lot of young kids.

Theres nothing wrong with it, and people would be agree there is nothing wrong with it if Beyonce or Britney said it, but of course its Justin Bieber, so people have to hate.
How ignorant of him, although a part of me thinks that he probably didn't mean to imply that being gay is a choice.
His age is NOT an excuse though. He turns 17 in just over a week, which is not THAT young. I'm sure i would not have been that ignorant and stupid about something like this. Plus, he needs to realise that his words influence a huge number of people, which is perhaps the biggest issue. Ok, yes he's free to have his (wrong) opinion but do we really want millions of "beliebers" to go on thinking that being gay is a choice?
As for abortion, it's a delicate subject, and im neither for nor against it.
Yes, it isn't nice to end a life, but sometimes you have to think of the consequences. I mean, like someone said before, if a woman who is raped and becomes pregnant has to have her child, will she really want to be reminded of the traumatic experience of the rape everytime she looks at her child.
Also, from the child's perspective, sooner or later they are going to wonder who their father is. What happens then? Is the mother supposed to LIE to her child, or tell tell them that they were a result of rape!? How would that make the child feel? Just think about that
