See the issue with your logic is that being racist (towards darker-skinned people specifically) and being homophobic are not only blatant but ingrained in societies all around the world.
Being sexist and treating women as inferior is ingrained but WAY less blatant over the past 100 years worldwide and even less rapidly ingrained as you get closer to present-day (a man cannot tell a woman to make him a sandwich in any professional place or even informally without getting fired/dragged. that small statement can ruin a whole career in many countries) . This is unlike being homophobic or racist which only have been making real progress in let's say the past 40 years globally (and let's not even get any deeper into homophobia when it's only truly made leaps and bounds in like the last 10 years in all aspects. pre 2010s wasn't all that gay-friendly at all).

using a similar scenario to yours, if a person in a professional place told a black or gay person that she shouldn't be allowed to be here because she's black or gay, that person would be fired. there would be little to no debate on it because that's such blatant bias and it's hard to argue
but with your own scenario, normal people would think it's funny and not a big deal. "it's just a joke" would be said and often even accepted. remember the women walking around NYC for hours video? people were telling her she should be thanking them for their compliments lmao
you're right that that colorism and homophobia is ingrained in the mentality of many around the world, but the women thing is not even considered a big deal to many. even homophobes and racists will often bite their tongues because they know they'll get dragged. remember the harvard president who said women are not fit for math and science? he's not going to say that about blacks or gays
