here's what maybe happened

1) HOME was intended to be a full "rihanna album" but she couldn't finish it in time
2) instead of rushing her, DWA decided to let the demo singers re-record their songs and placed them on the album as replacements
3) it's still going to be a "rihanna album" because she curated the soundtrack (a la Lorde/Mockingjay) and handpicked all of the songs
4) J.Lo is a last-minute addition
5) expect songs from Charli XCX, Kiesza, J.Lo, maybe Calvin???

Wheter HOME is R8 or whatever it is... I don't know how it's hard to see that releasing 2 full albums within a month isn't a smart move.

Still tho, it's safe to say that her highly-anticipated project is R8 and that's the one she will bother promoting like **** cause that's HER project and she was free to sing about whatever she wanted, while for Home the album had to fit the movie.

That doesn't change the fact that it's 2 album by Rihanna. Even if HOME is a soundtrack it's still an entire album by Rihanna. Even if Rihanna gives it minimal promotion you expect the world to ignore 12 new Rihanna songs?

Releasing R8 before Home movie or the same month would benefit to the movie. She would make her comeback in time for the movie and when R8 will be released everyone will talk about her. She'll be THE star everyone will talk about. And since HOME has Rihanna's name on it people would want to see the movie, especially if there's new Rihanna music in the movie as well.

All we can hope for (at this point) is that the HOME album isn't a big deal and the hype/focus remains on R8
