Yeah, the media so far is not going to look at the fact that his supporters are actuality racist.
And as I suspected, they focusing on the fact that she did this at a fundraiser and painting get as tone deaf.
Trump team is smartly making this about elitism and trying to paint him as the uniter. That's one of the problem with the "stronger together" candidate making this type of comment (regardless of the accuracy).
Clinton surrogates and campaign NEED not allow the ridiculous "elite" spin

I think some of ya'll are missing the point of the backlash. It isn't appropriate for Hillary to be generalizing her opponents supporters and what their personal views or motives are.
Trump's supporters aren't running for President. Trump is.
Any comments about bigotry should be directed towards Trump himself. It's like saying that half of gays have HIV because most HIV cases are found in gay men. It's a blanket statement.
Sort of OT, but what baffles me is white liberals (many of whom like to pretend don't have racist views themselves - with some ya'll "no rice, no spice" having asses) are making the argument against Trump that allowing him to win the presidency will incite some sort of Civil War.
What kills me about the "OMG WE HAVE TO VOTE FOR HILLARY NOW" stuff is that all of the stuff her supporters cite as being fearful of is actually already happening. Mass Deportation? Happening. Racism? Happening. Politicians being openly sexist? Happening. Laws being enacted that harm those in poverty and the working class? Already happening.
Don't get me wrong, Trump is absolute trash. But putting someone trash in office in order to stave off an apocalypse that likely won't happen or mostly will just be slightly more of what we already have. These bigoted Trump supporters are not going to suddenly evaporate or go into hibernation once Hillary wins.
