I think what she needs is a TTAL-style song. She's known to be angry, etc. so that could help change things up. While I like TTAL I think "the truth, the truth, the truth" got a bit repetitive. Also, the topic about love is kind of overdone (for her). I'd like a song from her singing about being an underdog but also not giving a damn.

MARC: The video definitely has its flaws. Aside from crab girl, I’m moderately embarrassed for most of the dancers in the “everyone express yourself” portion. And if this is in fact Swift’s answer to P!nk’s “Stupid Girls“—which I glean based on both the pop culture jabs and the spoken-word breakdown that you call “rap”—I have to wonder why the satire is just a few layers too light to really make any sort of statement. (Also, Natalie Portman—why??)

I would be really really really disappointed in her. I would probably wait for the album but I could see myself stop giving less attention to her since it should be about the music in the first place and Shake It Off is so basic that H&M should hire Taylor for their '2014 Fall Basics' line.

She won't play anyone. They are making an adaptation of the movie Finding Neverland, about the creator of Peter Pan. Harvey Weinstein is interested in having her write a song for the musical. That's nuts and amazing! With frickin Rick Rubin!

also u cant just call sober amd gita her standout tracks on fh. that album has a lot more to offer. but i guess this goes into the preference department and we cant really argue on that--if so than i wouldnt call try standout at all. the video, yes. but tge song pales in comparison to the original. but again: personal preferance.

also to the ultraviolence thing: i wasnt saying she should copy lana. thats dumb. i was saying it would be cool if pink made her ultraviolence--an equivalence that strongly focuses on pink's more organic sound, not a cardboard copy of lana's work.
