What specific legislation are the Republicans pushing to make things harder for blacks and Latinos? The transgender and gay thing I will give you when it comes to marriage (the bathroom thing has nothing to do with being Republican). But other than that, IDK where in the platform it says to actively discriminate against the LGBT community in other avenue.
However, there are a variety of conservative viewpoints than anyone in those groups can agree with.

LMAO! I'm sure all you sheepy gays who were worshipping and defending her from the start all of sudden have a burning desire to destroy ha now.
I bet you all suddenly approve of the Call Me Caitlyn Costume
Caitlyn is self serving? Y'all flip flop to serve whatever suits your needs and views more than Nicki does.
Poor all of you!

A lot of gay people don't believe in same-sex marriage, so one more person isn't going to make a difference.

Leaving marriage and toilets aside, what about the changing documents issue? Christie vetoed a bill then laughed. Other states tried to make changing documents easier, but most of the local GOP stood in the way. One of the trans community's primary goals is exactly that: getting the correct government recognition of their gender.

Only read page 1 so I'm not sure if what I'm saying has been said, but being transgender means Caitlyn feels she was born in the wrong body, and should have been a woman since birth. In her ideal situation, she would have been born biologically female and been homophobic, which is obviously common enough. So her identity as a transperson, and not being totally pro-LGBT doesn't conflict as much as you think it does.
People need to understand being LGBTasdfghjkl doesn't preclude you from biases outside of (or in some cases, within) your community. Do I wish it does? **** yeah, I totally wish prejudices like racism or sexism didn't exist in the gay community, just as I wish racial minorities in the US (like those I'm a member of) weren't homophobic and made life hell for people like me who fit into both categories. But it is what it is, so There are LGB's who make transphobic statements, LGTs who make bi-phobic(?) statements, gays who call lesbians ****s and vice verse.

I agree with that they shouldn't be doing that. However that is not a national party platform, those are acts of individuals. Being republican does not mean supporting that.
Also what are they doing to actively make things harder for blacks and Latinos?

For the gays in the back who suddenly became the biggest Bruce Jenner stans in the world the moment he declared his new name was Caitlyn and would be transitioning into a woman. "She's one of us!", they cried, wrongly observing the situation.
If I didn't have so many posts, I'd repost what I said on Day 1 when people said I was heartless.
Guess she's not everyone's queen now, huh.

Right?
I mean, no one wants to say it but
How on earth can you go from being a man to a woman (and a terrible dad at that) and then STILL go around acting high and mighty, saying judgemental stuff like "I'm conservative, i like tradition"
She's such a hypocrite lol

That's not my job. Ok. If that word marriage is really, really that important to you I can go with it.

Not a fan of how that was worded at all. Sounds like she's only okay (and barely for that matter) with the idea of gay marriage because gay people and supporters are demanding their rights. Disappointing for the gay community to be so supportive of Caitlyn and then for her to have such a middle of the road view on marriage equality; one that seems fueled by the law rather than real acceptance.
I also can't fathom the idea of being conservative and transgender. Caitlyn's biggest haters are conservatives. Please find yourself and not be a hypocrite Caitlyn. Still rooting for her to come around. She still seems so conflicted.

Regardless if you think she is a man, Caitlyn's name is now Caitlyn so I don't get the quotations?

She's trying so hard to distance herself from the community its not even funny. I've noticed this on her show when she has said countless times that she just wants to be normal and just be looked at as a ordinary woman.
She's entitled to that respect, but she wasn't born a female. So normal she's not. No shade. Whether she likes or not, she is a part of the LGBT community. She's no different from the rest of us. Now, whether the community will accept her is another story. That's still up in the air.

You guys really are so quick to pounce.
Okay this interview definitely was problematic in some ways and I think we've established Cait is not the best poster girl for the trans movement but come on!! This is NEW and SCARY to her.
I can absolutely empathise with someone recently transitioned that they are not that comfortable identifying as a trans person yet, even though they are. It's all part of the fact that Caitlyn has been uncomfortable with herself for her whole, entire life... She has been running from this issue for over half a century. So, yeh, she must have dealt with so much internalised hatred throughout that time period, and I'm sure much of it still lingers. So will you please not get all high and mighty about her being hesitant to align with the community - saying "they" instead of "we" - and such new ways of thinking. It reflects her struggle if anything, and I feel bad for her. It's truly difficult and shaming someone for that is harsh. It's all a work in progress with Caitlyn. She is certainly not perfect and that's okay but her intentions are good.
