Fair enough. Still, I don't see anything that Ariana has done since her last album to double her fanbase to where she could push 300k.
She is everywhere, so she should sell more. VMAs alone, Beats commercials, all the promotional performances, I think it could go up to 230k, but there's also a sales climate to take into account.
~200k is low? For whom? Ariana Grande is NOT a household name, contrary to what people who think getting #1s on iTunes makes a household name think. Plus, she is right on par with other female stars not named Adele, Beyonce or Taylor Swift. I don't see the issue here. Sounds like a pretty reasonable prediction to me.
I don't follow her, so I'm only going by her hype on ATRL and that's kinda low, seeing how her fans shout "9845948 singles in the top 10" and proclaiming her a major pop girl now.
I don't know what you guys are going crazy about Ariana's star power is severely overrated on this forum. She's still fairly new on the scene + sales nowadays (especially for the girls) are the pits.
she hasnt even sold 500k of her last album. Its pretty much same US sales as Ellie Gouldings album except Ellie has sold way more worldwide.
So these numbers are not really surprising she's more singles artist.
Why are you using her last album sales tho? She is in a much better place right now, and she could be bigger out of the US this era as well for all we know
YT did 130k, any growth is great! It's not like she's on a Beyoncé/Adele/Taylor level (yet).
