I think everyone needs to re-read the OP. All I'm saying is, how much does she have to sell to justify the promotion. No one is saying BTW will flop.

Why would ANYONE come after GaGa if she sells a million? She clearly worked EXTREMELY hard for it....and who in the hell would blame her team for outsmarting every record label in the world?

We all know the most important part, her album sales are going to eclipse any albums released this year so far, they are going to eclipse the Queen of Pop, Ms Britney Spears which will of course lead to Britney stans fighting about Gaga doing too much promotion well you know what, it is her and her teams JOB to hype up and promote and album, she is doing what Britneys team SHOULD have done.

Her job is to sell albums, her job is to make her music reach as many people as possible, she is using every possible resource to do that and it is incredibly smart. Everyone can stop being mad that their fave didn't think of it first and will most likely steal this move for their next album release. Yeah, I said it. She has everyone so worried, so you should be.

I Say 500.000 because i remember for the Destiny Fulfilled album Destiny's Child were everywhere. They performs Lose My Breath and Soldier a Trillion times. They got Big Billboards everywhere on a NYC Buildings like Gaga, They perform at SUPERBOWL Half Time etc. They End selling 400.000+ the first week and it was in 2004 albums were selling BIG. So i dont expect her to sell like Taylor Swift or Britney Oops era because even if she's the Biggest star right now the music industry has change. But like some of you i hope she sells the highest possible but i will get my hope too high.

I love people making honest predictions is pressed, but not the stans coming in here Satan-red angry and bringing up Britney Spears. There's no need for her name to ****ing come up.

I highly doubt the Best Buy situation will come up if it doesn't make an impact on the sales, or if it even is counted. If it does count and had an impact, then rightfully so it should be pointed out. But that's a whole 'nother topic. I also don't think people would complain about promotion. At least not sane people.

Fiance told me that there's a lot of promo in Japan too, though it's mostly word of mouth. The college students are all over the topic of the album. She should enjoy big numbers there.

I digress, but Japan sells an edition of "The Fame" that is completely covered in glitter. I totally want it now. It looks so cool.
