The ratings are fine. People forget that this is a SUMMER SHOW.

RIP at you guys, it's actually doing really well for a summer show... Also, the marketing didn't do much of a job of building hype like it did for The Voice or X Factor. Still, it's definitely a success so far, at least in terms of getting Kelly some exposure. Her album jumped like 30 spots on iTunes and is holding steady. I don't see that as a bad thing!

Idol was the first of it's kind and I really don't know about comparing the numbers from a show that premiered 10 years ago. X Factor was still considered a flop even with those numbers because of Simon's massive expectations but even still it was a Fall show. The Voice premiered in April during the Spring season and ended in June and still ranked only 20th amongst total viewers for the season. I'm not saying Duets was a monster success, but it's not "really bad" either. I think it did pretty well considering.

I just think it's too early to comment, really. It could still flop, sure. But we have to wait and see. Hopefully it doesn't, but if it does, whatever. It's not going to hurt Kelly at all and if anything she's just getting more exposure right now. It's still 6.7 million people that might not have thought about her otherwise

BYOH is one of the worst songs on Stronger...Why didn't they go with TSWR or DYWS if they wanted to go with a country vibe? I could see Jason doing decent on TSWR and it would have been good promo for the future smash #1 on country.
