Big Bang is one of the theories that explains the development of the Universe (it's the most accepted one among the scientific community).
Earth was formed around 4,600 million of years ago (Geology books can help you if you're interested). I don't know what the religion says about this, but it's probably wrong.
They also said that our planet was the centre of the Universe and it's not. They used the Bible and what Aristotle said 2,300 years ago to prove their point, but they were proved wrong.
They also said that we don't come from the monkey and that's a damn lie (our good sis Darwin agrees).
