It doesn't happen to everyone. I think artists like Britney and Beyonce have stayed pretty consistent in their sound and public persona's. It happens because to others because 9 times out of 10, they do change. Some change for the better, like Rihanna and Katy Perry. And some change for the worst, like.. well. We all know who.
