We all love Axl for his child-like behaviour. Annoying at times, but makes you smile and laugh. I miss the original GnR.
Me too. I don't like the new GNR. With Sphagetti Incident it's ended. They came to Istanbul in 2006 and it didn't take my attention. They're coming this july again and I feel the same.
At least I was able to see the original band in 1993 on Use Your Illusion Tour in Istanbul. Crazy experience.
Our Queen with that piece and how she would consider a song as a good song ("that you could feel better after listening to it"), keeps reminding us to the King of Songwriting.
Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan's guru, King of Songwriting, and the REAL "Ghost" of music industry. 1912 - 1967, RIP. Still cited as major influence by the youngins. Being brought to discussions. Never had a hit record or major tour, etc. Still 'haunting' us.

Woody Guthrie you don't hear about him much these days but he is a legend arguably even bigger in the songwriting community than Bob Dylan sadly I don't have any of his music

The new GnR is like Axl's Puppets Band. It's just nowhere near the original. But a reunion would ruin the memory for old time fans. Huge ego like the boys' is what makes GnR as GnR. Just part of Rock N Roll. But I just can't at how 'stupid' it ended. I could deal if it's something like a members death (LedZep & John Bonham), but THAT? Then again, that's how RnR goes.
And I'm ****ing jealous with the bolded part. - I was still a 1 yo stupid baby during 1993.

Am shocked that Britney stans have the balls to call out an artist and care about vocal performance and 'perfect' (written by writing camp) material. Jeez, the end is not gonna end tomorrow anyways, she still has plenty of time to develop & broadening her audience. Flop kids.

Even the Who their debut was horrible a couple gems but they were like Beatles 2.0 just making crappy teen music. Album #3 was their first great album

That's what Phoenix83 forgot. Being successful at 1st or 2nd album is an exception, but it usually goes that way. 3 or 4 albums in, before the greats arrived. Those albums are career filler. One need to stay relevant for years to be considered as legend. And that's how he/she do it. This theory works for solo artists & bands. We, modern age people, have forgotten the beauty of honing skills & hard work. Do it step-by-step until you reach the top of the world.
