It's quite obvious that it won't be where it peaks.
Still, pretty funny though.

Why is it funny? Isn't #29 pretty good for only being released to radios yesterday?

It's exactly where Marry The Night (and Thinking Of You) ended up peaking. It's just amusing for them because those turned out to be Gaga and Katy's biggest flops of their careers. (In a way, Gaga moreso than Katy)

I think Since U Been Gone is Kelly biggest hit so far. It didn't get to #1, but it finished as the 4th biggest song of 2005 (behind Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani and Mario, and just ahead of Ciara/Missy Elliott, I really miss all those pop girls btw ).
Stronger probably won't finish in the top 4 of the year imo, even though it has been massive.
Talking about the year-end charts, it's definitely a battle between Gotye and fun. for this year now. I remember last year I was sure E.T. would get it, but then Rolling in the Deep and Party Rock Anthem came along as smashed, so something like that might happen again this year.
There isn't long left though. It's pretty much impossible to get the year-end #1 if the song doesn't get popular before the summer.

With its continued command on Alternative Songs, "Somebody" passes Everlast's "What It's Like" (nine weeks in 1998-99) as the longest-reigning No. 1 by a soloist in the chart's 23-year history.
|
"Somebody That I Used To Know" has spent 10 weeks at #1 so far on Alternative Songs one of the biggest smashes ever. and a record for a soloist.
I feel like the top 10 has been the same for weeks...

Seems like it replaced number 13 as the unlucky number lol. It's a sign WHYB won't hit #1.

Seems Gotye's streaming has peaked. So Call Me Maybe might take over on On Demand within a few weeks...

"Payphone" holds at No. 2 on Digital Songs, and, with 286,000 (down 13%), it passes a million (1.1) in downloads sold since its release. The track nabs the Hot 100's top Streaming Gainer honor, powered by a 13-4 vault on On-Demand Songs (852,000, up 70%).

Seems more likely Maroon 5 will.

Possibly, since they HAVE been exploding. It does depend on a lot of factors, though.

Aside from Carly, every song in The Top 10 is just boring me now because it has been the SAME damn songs in the Top 10 for weeks now. I NEED SOMETHING NEW!
Btw, I love how so many people freaked out because Where Have You Been hit #29 this week. Just because Beyonce, Katy, and GaGa all had songs peak there does not mean Rihanna will peak there.
Where Have You Been will absolutely hit the Top 10, and hopefully #1.
