I don't think this is about whether it would have smashed with or without her. Nor whether she's despised or not. It's about how many of her stans seem to think that it was all Christina's input and Adam had nothing to do with the song's success. Which is simply not true, seeing as she did hardly ANY of the promotion after its premiere. Maroon 5 did all of that themselves, basically. Other than the video, of course.
