I idolize Lady Gaga.
Her effort towards her projects is very strong, I mean you can actually see her working live.
Also, in comparison with her other contemporaries, she is undeniably the best of all.
It's impossible to deny she has made a mark in pop history. Those who say she did not are rather blinded or limited.
I am confused as to how she became such a widely-known act.
Nothing about her seems genuine, unique, or original. I just do not understand how she has developed such a following as she has, other than maybe the fact that she uses her professed bisexuality to garner support from the gay community.
Honestly, I see nothing in the way of talent from her. Her voice is nothing special. It's not bad, but it just isn't good. Other stars without the best voices have other attributes to back up their stardom.
Some who can admit that her voice isn't great like to attribute her musical success to her writing capabilities. I have nothing to say to that. I suppose it's subjective, but I just do not understand what is special about her writing. She uses simple rhymes and borrowed hooks over beats that she has produced to sound like whatever is popular at the moment.
People who don't like her music try to explain her popularity by citing her "antics". I don't fully understand this, as she has very little endearing personality traits. In fact, I think she comes off rather condescending and stiff in most clips I've seen her in. So I can only assume that by 'antics', they mean costumes. This too confuses me, because I see no reason for her being praised for simply wearing the creative work of other people. Her so-called fashion is not unique in any sense. None of it is custom made. She simply wears clothing from designers who are very creative and forward-thinking. In no way does this reflect on her artistry. It is simply borrowing.
So in summary, I'm confused as to what makes her popular when I see nothing special about her.
