Do: Have a good sense of humor and let them see your true personality, because that fake "only showing you my good side" **** always ends terribly. Ask questions and try to get to know them without prying. Make the date different and memorable by not doing the cliche dinner and a movie.

Don't: Be overly dressed up or fake. Stalk the person before and/or after the date. Have sex with the person after the first date. Make out with the person after the first date. I've done this, too. And it wasn't even intentional. I was just like, "Hey! I've been checking out your Facebook and stuff lately, you're so cute". And I meant it as a compliment, but it was really creepy. Or I'll be extremely clingy on the first date and they'll be turned off.

Do show up early (it shows you're committed). Dress appropriately (depending on where the date is). Show them that you have some type of goals in life and that you're currently working towards them, but don't boast or brag. And please practice proper hygiene cause

Don't go out for a dinner and a movie, try something different. Don't try to privy into their personal life (ex boyfriends/girlfriends, family problems, financial info) etc or mention any of your past/previous problems. Don't crack dirty or explicit jokes.
