This is a nice interview! Even back here she was thinking TFJ was just an average debut and her aim for EH was to make something that people would look back on and enjoy as a whole.
I wish she would stop shading TFJ. I mean the album is amazing, and one of - if not the - best debut albums I've listened to.
Watching all of these Marina interviews makes waiting for the leak so much easier.
I'm glad not a lot was changed with Starring Role. It's still as perfect as it was when I first listened.
I'm glad it's stronger and there's a few added background vocals and the chorus instrumental is heavier.
The only reason Starring Role leaked was because a person, who got the album sampler gave it to someone, who leaked it with his permission.
The album sampler was originally fake but the guy told his cousin and the cousin's friend, who works at Billboard managed to find an album sampler and gave it to him, to make up for the fake one, he was sold.
I'm glad Marina actually addresses that she is a hypocrate () in the top interview. She said she was "obsessed with making it" and she had a "stick up her ass" about pop music.
And in the bottom interview she talks about her synesthesia. I didn't know until like yesterday that Marina had it, and I would be lying if I said it didn't make me like her even more.
