I mean, Marina isn't my favorite solo act of all time, she is just...awesome. I look at my iTunes library and see things that I got just to fit in to a certain group of friends (ADTR or Jay Z, etc.) and it isn't that I don't like them, I do (because if I didn't, I wouldn't have bothered) I just don't look at them and see me.
When I listen to P!nk and her bad-ass-I-give-no-****s-attitude or Mumford and Sons their amazing lyrics or even Florence + The Machines absolutely BEAUTIFUL musical arrangements, I just want to break things and do ninja kicks and scream (in the good way, of course!)
Marina is the first artist since Florence to make me do that. She has a unique voice, her album idea is intriguing, her song lyrics are different (but so good,) and I'll be damned if "Lies" isn't the most heart breakingly good song I have heard in the past five years. I like her because she fits me, not the person I am secretly trying to be :P

Haha INDEED.
She kind of got herself trapped, especially after all she's said about it in the past.
But then again that's why I love her, she'll always come up with a good, smart excuse.

I hate it when I try to introduce them to a good pop song and they automatically say

From her most recent interview on the subject, she sounds less judgmental about it than she used to, so I think she's just become a little more open-minded to it. But I don't see her taking off her clothes for the camera anytime in the near future unless it's really in an artistic sense, and not in a ******** excuse kind of way.

Yep, pretty much! I think a lot of Diamonds have sort of similar music tastes, most commonly Marina fans also being Florence fans. You like Daft Punk though, which is awesome. I still need to download some more songs from Homework.

I don't know if this has been around a while or not, but I found the full-color version of the Homewrecker picture. It's awesome, but black and white is really where the picture looks amazing.
