No shade or anything.... But Mariah hasn't made a impact since 2005. So I wouldn't count her of the artist of this generation. Mariah is in the generation of Whitney and Celine so to speak.
Yes. She has a great voice, but her vocals aren't distinctive enough to be unique towards one genre, hence in someways she is a chameleon. The positive is that she can adapt herself to anything really. The only thing I haven't heard her on is a club/dance track.
