After such a huge debut for PF--which was BEFORE Super Bass became one of the biggest songs of last year--everyone expected 400K+ this time around. She's basically a household name now, which is an amazing feat for a female rapper who's been known for two short years, so everyone expected the heightened celebrity to translate into sales. This is a fine debut, but still a bit of a disappointment.

That's all well and good but for somebody transitioning into a different genre of music it's still a pretty amazing first week sales. Whilst many Barbz may still try and defend the fact shes still a rapper, the first single was a pop song so the album has basically been sold off a pop song. I think if she had released a hip-hop song as her lead then it'd be all well and good to drag her first week sales, but the fact she sold 250k on a lead pop single, as a rapper, is pretty amazing.
