I love how this went from being a nice little praise thread for these artists and then it goes into a dam debate of who's black and who's not does any1 stay on topic anymore unless it's a dam thread about ____ vs. _____ lol
Exactly this is getting out of hand. Mariah is black u can cut the pizza pie how ever many ways u want but that's it. Just like Mariah said, it goes back to slavery and the 1 drop rule. If u got 1 drop of "black" blood in u...ur black...no ifs ands and buts about it It's messed up but that's just how it is lol.
that what my granny always told me.... it is what it is thou.. but i dont know why people acting like she dont need to be up there like get the **** out...
His point is that the father from Venezuela could've been black too, or had a brown skin as well, which would've make Mariah's dad full black. Plenty of Venezuelans are dark. You might not see them in any of the novelas, but they're there. Being Latina doesn't mean you can't be black, have a brown complexion as well. You make it sound as if his hispanic venezuelan side couldn't be black as well.
But, he wasn't. Sit please before you get us both warned in here for "fighting". Mods, I hope you see me tryna keep it cute in here.
There's a reason Alicia and Mariah don't look more similar. Arguing with a Janet stan about MY fave I think I would know a little bit more about her than you.
Because all biracials have the same patterned 'look'

What kinda self drag? Isn't your whole argument that he was dark skinned? That right there CLEARLY looks like a man who's mother was BLACK like I said and who's father was hispanic also like I said. I disregarded the second picture because people (especially hispanics and Asians) tend to get darker up in age. Goodbye chile.

You said he was "light". He is clearly a brown skin Black man. No one said he was Wesley Snipes dark, you made that assumption.

And getting darker in age?
He IS light, are you not looking at the picture you posted?
And yes a good amount of people get darker as they age. Our skin cells turnover rate slows as we age, so if you regularly tan, (artificially or spend a lot of time in sunlight), the "tan" is less likely-and takes a longer time-to wear off.
This is really my last time replying to you about this
