I may have been to harsh on BTW. It's better than the bonus tracks, but it's still bottom 5 for me.
I have never gotten over how disappointed I was when I first heard it, following months of hype.
BTW has a beautiful message but the chorus just doesn't flow well to me. It sounds so forced and the melody feels strange. (Funny enough, Express Yourself is also one the few Madonna songs I absolutely can't stand.
)
I will say that 2:46 in BTW is one of my favorite parts spoken parts of any Gaga song, (Don't be a drag just be a queen... etc) and then when the beat drops and she belts 3:01 (No matter gay straight or bi, lesbian transgendered life, I'm on the right track baby I was born to survive ....) Heavenly. Everything before those parts I find dreadful.
