There was huge backlash from the "Stupid Hoe" video and Grammy performance. Not to mention, she didn't have a hit song on urban radio, while pop radio has been eating up "Starships." I always thought she would receive a backlash, but without the backlash, I imagined her doing 550k since she has become one of the most buzzed about artists of the past two years. 400-450k was what I was expecting with the backlash factored in.

I don't think it's just the pop music that is alienating her urban audience, it's everything she's doing. From the controversy, to the outfits, to the music. The urban audience is very clear about what they like. You don't mess the urban audience's religion like Nicki did, and the "crazy ****" doesn't fly with them.
