Had this formula been around at just about any other point this year (say, when SFTTR was #1, for example), and "Boyfriend" was released then, it would have been #1 easily. It's all about timing, and Bieber just had the WORST possible timing.

I disagree.. I have no doubt her song will end up selling millions but she's not really a first-week single seller if you know what I mean.. you need a crazy Gaga/bieber type of fan base to do that
