Rihannas last 2 albums sold a roughly estimated 8 million copies. - She's also sold about 10-15 million singles since then.
Shakiras last 2 sold a roughly estimated 3.5 million copies.

Im not trying to discredit anything. All I said being bigger in latin America proves nothing. She releases Spanish music and is a native from there. Why wouldnt she be big?
The fact that more people in the world know who RIhanna is than Shakira is alone to give her the merit of being bigger worldwide. And if she was so huge she would be selling more. But hey..

It's always gonna be like that. How did Loud do compared to say "Laundry Service"? Is that how you measure success. Nobody touches Shakira, and you sir, haven't been to Europe even a flying f*ck once. So that makes your opinion, sorry to say, irrelevant on the subject. You can only judge on what you THINK. Us who live in Europe, we know honey. Shakira is a queen in Europe, Rihanna is a airwave princess. Both great, but you can't compare them.

We are talking about NOW. Emphasis on 2012. Do you know how many people have died since Laundry Service was released an you know how many people have been birth the moment Rihanna opened her mouth and said "Ella Ella Hey". Ok!!

THAT'S WORTHLESS. Madonna's music is flopping like there's no tomorrow, still Rihanna would never see the half of Madge's tour gross.
So, still, Shakira remains the bigger WW star.

Rihanna is from Barbados and is popular and selling in the 5 biggest markets around the world.

Since when is Shakira and Madonna the same person? I fail to see that logic. Madonna is bigger worldwide than Rih but Rihanna is bgger worldwide than Shakira. She's from South America and makes music in 2 different languages and yet she's not selling as much as Rih. Why?!

Every musician is after the US, the UK, or Japan because they are the most profitable and thus the hardest to break into. Shakira just don't have it.
