Madonna has what many people who are more talented than her don't have: the it factor. If other people were to release the music Madonna does, they would flop. Something about her captivates people and has made her an icon, which in itself is a talent. So in that sense I agree with the OP. however, I don't think her title as the most talented is in anyway cemented forever. It's not as certain and ever lasting as some people make it out to be
After Thriller Michael spent all his career trying to emulate its success and miserably failing. He never moved on.

No career can last 27 years just on hype and controversy. if she didn't have substance behind the hype, the public would've seen right through her and she would've been a faded memory long ago.
Beyonce has a handful of memorable songs. But nowhere near as many as Madonna did in a comparable period of time. And by memorable I don't mean memorable to fans.
