Have you guys noticed how she does not name-checks "Young Money" on any song on PF:RR, and she did on countless songs on her debut album, PF, and on several features circa 2010-part of 2011?
I really believe we should be thankful to Wayne for discovering Nicki, but Nicki is becoming so independent on her own, and so is Drake. One would wonder if they have surpassed their mentor considering TC3's singles success.

when was the last time she shouted out young money?
idk. i see her more as an independent artist & manager now more then an artist that just relies on the label to do all the work for her.

That's my point. It's been so long since she name-checked her label, I can't even remember the last time she did so.
When on years before her overwhelming success with Super Bass, she always did name-check her label..
"That's Young Money, Cash Money yeah I'm Universal" - I'm The Best
"Young Money raised me, grew up out in Basiley" - Moment 4 Life
"Young Money, I do it for the youth 'dem!" - Hello Good Morning
"Young Money is the roster, and the monster crew" - Monster
"And pop bottles with my team, Young Money, until the death of you" - Up All Night
"Young Money, Cash Money in the building!" - 2012 (It Ain't The End)
And several shout-outs to her label on I Ain't Thru, Letting Go, Lil Freak, Fireball, among others.
But well, hope you guys get my point. She now knows her star power, and feels like name-checking her label is not even necessary, since she does not necessarily depend on them now.

I just finished putting the lyrics to the first 5 songs on my blog. I am REALLY tired so I'm going to be now.
I would have stopped at 4, but HOV Lane is one of my favorite songs on the album so I had to have the lyrics written down. Lol.
I will add to this more tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoy them >.<

I don't think they've surpassed Wayne's legacy yet, but it's not a far stretch to say that they're more popular than he is right now. While I do agree that Nicki and Drake have established themselves to an incredible degree and that they're both extremely independent artists, they do rely on Young Money for funding and for the tedious work that it takes to keep their careers glued together in every department - music, promotion, videos, etc. Obviously both Nicki and Drake have total artistic freedom and make nearly all their own decisions, but it's not as though YM does nothing for them. I'm actually relatively happy with Nicki and Drake being on YM. Of course they make a lot of mistakes - every label does - but they have helped to get Nicki and Drake to the points they are each at right now. We can't discredit and disregard everything they've done for each artist.
I don't think the lack of a YM shout-out on RR means anything, though, especially since, if my memory serves me correctly, she mentioned YM in her Y.U. Mad verse, which was only a few months ago.
Btw, would you guys agree that Nicki has surpassed Drake in popularity? I love both and I'm not trying to start an argument, but inquiring minds want to know.

I've said that she has so many times but everybody denies it. But, like you said we won't start anything.
But, then again his 1st week sales in the U.S. seem to be higher than hers. I doubt he's more popular outside the U.S. though.
