After watching the Grammy's performance, I thought it sucked ass. The next few weeks though, I watched a school play, Sweeney Todd, and I just thought: HOW ROMAN HOLIDAY. Anyways going from Nicki's LaGuardia and theater background, I think she did want to create a play from the stage with the theatrics and the overexaggeration and the drama. I understood it and started appreciating her.
From a song as different as Roman Holiday, we're just not used to it. If she had released RH before the Grammy's, I think there would have been less criticism.
I hated the beginning acts tbh though, Nicki was off with the moaning and groaning in the beginning and I did NOT need Hype Williams' crappy movie effects
