My family is from Nigeria/Ghana and nobody dominates there like Beyonce. Rihanna is known, though. I haven't been there since Gaga exploded so I don't know how big she is, though I do know there's a Nigerian Gaga stan on here.

Anyways, It's totally Gaga, but people shouldn't just count Katy out. She's had impact in the North and South America, in Europe, in Australia, and even in some countries of Asia. Sure, she's not as big as Gaga or Rihanna, but she's still big.

A significant amount of Caribbean culture and music also comes from South Asia since Indians make a strong part of population there (sometimes even the majority in countries like Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago) even though they're not represented in the media's portrayal of Caribbean people at all. Caribbean music (soca music, the 'Diwali riddim' used in Rihanna's Pon De Replay, Sean Paul's Get Busy, etc. and even Beyonce's Baby Boy sounds Indian) and food of course (curry, jerk chicken) are all South Asian-influenced.

There is so much more to impact than sales statistics, accreditation and chart positions. I see all these figures flying around in multiple threads everyday by depressive stans trying to prove something, and it honestly becomes so overwhelming. It doesn't necessarily mean that one artist is better, or has had a greater influence than another. It is all about how the public feel towards that person and how they react to not only their music, but their performances, interviews and their life at the forefront of popular culture. It's all about connection. Who does the public relate to the most? That's what can determine impact.

If thats the case then the answer would be none...at least here. Here in Australia Rihanna And Katy are seen as pop tarts and Gaga is seen as a Circus Clown and most recently a Madonna Copycat
