Ive been pretty quiet about this topic but it seems like im gonna have to start voicing my opinion on this whole thing. Yes what Rihanna did was wrong, the remix was wrong but for all you the navy who jumped to **** to say **** like Rihanna should be hit again, im here for a second beating, RR was fake, 20/20 interview was all for money and promotion, she aint real she lied to us stanning for her was a mistake.
HOW ****ING DARE YOU!
People can change their minds they can change their opinions, if Rihanna can forgive a man who turned her life upside down and attempts to make people also forgive him, how does that make her a fake person, if you really stanned for her and knew her you would know in countless interviews that she said she wanted Chris Brown to have a successful career and both of them can move on with their lives. Like she explained in the interview, put all that **** aside and finally move on from the incident and do music together as PROFESSIONALS.
You were not the one getting beat so why you so mad?? Are you the one getting called a hypocrite and being called the reason for many girls getting beat? NO so why are you in here acting like the world is about to end, she made a wrong mistake WE ALL DO she is a human being, she deserves to be happy in herself for gods sake...

Domestic violence has happened in my family (i dont like talking about it), that's why i'm disgusted so much at some people's actions.

What's even more frustrating about the remix is that she recorded while knowing that her fans are not here for it. It irks me that she chose controversy over her fans. I'm well over it though.

She planned Chris Brown to be on the remix before full speculation even took place, so what did you just want her to drop the whole remix altogether as soon as speculation arrived, after so much anticipation as to who will be on the remix surfaces. Plus it would have diminished what she was trying to achieve from the collaborations. Sometimes the navy is so selfish, they forget about Rihanna as a person ...

Really? It wasn't the navy that was acting selfish in that situation but let me keep my mouth shut for now...

Rihanna did the remixes for shock factor. The fact that she wanted the public to stop treating him so harshly was definitely part of the reason they did the remixes, but they also wanted to cause a stir. It's delusional to think that wasn't part of the reason.

I couldn't have said it better myself I've been very reserved here myself since I was trying not to step on anyone's toes, but the night the remixes were released was very eye opening for me.

Those statements bothered me the most and all the pictures included was just the icing on the cake. Disgusting tbh.

No, no let it all out. I know exactly where this is going, Rihanna is selfish for putting the remix and chris brown infront of the Navy well were you the victim of the abuse? Are you the one that needs closure and want people to move on from an event that keeps being put in your face 24/7. If it was me in the same position i probably would have done the remix myself, a bad mistake yes but if it gives her closure then I as a stan am all here for it because i care for Rihanna as a person also, and at times we need to be selfish to be happy.

Some of the things said post-remixes were disgusting, I agree. But at the same time, you have to understand that people like myself have stanned for Rihanna for years and years now, and have watched her grow from the young Barbadian girl with big dreams to a WW superstar and a force to be reckoned with. Some of us have practically grown up with Rihanna, so to see her collaborate with the man who beat her - especially when we were around during that awful time - on a song about ass was difficult to cope with. People get angry, and obviously the situation was handled poorly by some and many of us overreacted. I know I did, and I acknowledge that.
The only thing I find a tad ironic is the people who go the hardest for Rihanna on this site (since what you do off this site can't be measured) are the people that a lot of the Navy is harshest towards for their reactions to the remix. I mean, where are the people who call me or Miguel fake to be found when Rihanna is being dragged in SYG? It doesn't add up.

Also there is a difference between having a stan vacation and simply going insane and starting to hate on her.
|
Of course you wouldn't, you're a Chrianna stan. Have you tried to look at it from our point of view and understand why it made us so angry? It simply just wasn't a remix. It's about morals and principles and the fact that they decided to collaborate on a song about "ass". To make the whole situation even worse, the song was released around the time the full police report leaked.
I fail to understand why you're so personally affected by all of this. People handle things differently. We got angry at her and decided we needed a break from stanning, and you probably reacted the complete opposite and enjoyed the remixes. But do we judge you for that?
The rest of the navy has been understanding and welcoming. You seem to be the only one that's still holding a grudge. And since you seem to not understand this, just because we jumped shipped that night and said we were done with her(obviously out of anger) doesn't mean we truly meant it. I don't care if you won't accept us back or respect us ever again because at the end of the day we're the ones who buy her music, tickets, defend her daily on online forums so we have the freedom to react however we want to.

Birthday cake is NOT the right way to make people stop talking about the subject. She even references the accident in the remix in a sexual manner. i would understand them collaborating on a song about forgiveness or even a mere party song like TUTM. But the BC song is just not right for me even though i enjoy it a lot as a song and it caters my musical taste perfectly.

I was angry when the whole incident with Chris Brown first took place, i was furious but i actually learned to forgive him so i guess my mindset was in a different place when the remix came about so that i understand. As for the SYG thing , is that a serious point? SYG is nothing more than people who have got nothing better to do then drag artist back and forth for days on end, ive lurked in there for a few kii's i will admit but i would never have a full blown argument in there. Reasoning with some of those people just will not happen, just because some navy dont come in SYG dont mean they dont stan hard for her, they are just not here for immaturity from some rihanna haters.

I would agree with this one because it also crossed my mind, however at the same time i did not expect Rihanna and Chris Brown to make a random track out of nowhere either. The song they done it on was wrong, yes but ultimately she is not back with him ( although their are some speculations via tweets, etc.) so was it all blown out of proportion?
