I was practically a stan of her and her music pre-GGGB, but now I don't listen to her at all. I don't think it's anything serious. There's just a lot of music I from when I was 12,13, 14 I don't really care for anymore.

None of us know artists personally. We just know character traits from interviews and twitter.

I've gone crazy for artists who I've never even seen in interviews. Listening to music is usually a personal experience so why does it matter if you don't like their fashion, or the way they talk, or all the decisions they've made?

In a way, that's the problem. You see people who like a few of her singles, but you rarely hear about her albums or discography as a whole. I mean, you have stans here who don't even consider her first two albums apart of her discography... how is the general public going to be persuaded to get into her like a Gaga or Bey, or even Adele, when SOME of her own fans don't even acknowledge pre-2007 Rihanna? Occasionally you'll run into people who know her for Unfaithful, but other than that, know nothing or very little of Island Rihanna. They think Rihanna came out in 2007 as opposed to 2005. People need to LOVE her in order for her to be able to drop an album 5 years from now that smashes, and doesn't make her seem overrated.

What does have to do with anything? Of course someone has heard a song of all these girls, wether it is on radio, at home, at the shopping... .

The thing they saying is that everyone likes at least a song of an artist they hate and listen to that song, which isn't true seeing as I don't use any perry song nor have it on my laptop nor ipod.
