As far as I'm aware the studio was opened by her mainly to teach tap dancing to teen girls but I'm sure she taught other various forms of dancing, esp. urban.

No, she means ANY female pop star ever. Janet did a select type of dance, she never veered of into ballet, african dance, tap, and etc.

Janet has done ballet, African, tap, and "etc".

Post them videos and then we will talk. Make sure they are not too grainy though.

She's not the most versatile EVER, especially considering she's not a professional, i.e. she's a singer who dances; it's not her main job.
That being said, I do think she's the best dancer in the industry today, and I stand by my claim that the Single Ladies dancing and choreography is the best ever put in a music video.

Look how little she was back then compared to now though
it was cute. Her and Aaliyah used to be some tomboy girls. I guess she wanted something to shake now lol
edit: get into her trying to poke that hip out

Some of you are so easily impressed, and it's really a reflection of how watered down the industry has become.
Beyonce is a decent dancer, not great (a la MJ, Janet, James, Usher, etc). Beyonce stans should stick to vocals.

So who is your alternative. If she is not the most versatile, there must be some other bish to claim the title.

Janet & Mya is more versatile then Beyonce and better dancers overall, but Beyonce is good.. she definitely stepped it up dance wise with RTW.

Beyoncé's been dancing BEFORE she started singing, or at least at the same time. Educate yourself bb.

Janet be always doing the same fast moves. Don't make me come for her, I ride with her but I got to keep it real.

Bey is a choreographed dancer .. but Ciara knows she how to freestyle any dance + Krumping & street you mentioned are harder, faster & complicated moves than booty shaking tbh
