How the **** is it "lyrically genius"? Nicki has done much, much better than this. Super Bass, although was very Pop influenced, still had some Hip-Hop in it. It's like she found the perfect balance between Pop and Hip-Hop, and the song was surprisingly critically acclaimed, and critics praised her lyric references and rhythms.

"Starships" is terrible. But it's made for people like you who will eat up a chorus. The song makes no sense, it's literally a jumbled up mess, only a hit because it sounds like Katy's music (which is funny since RedOne produced it) and it has a catchy hook.

This song doesnt sound like any of Katys songs. People also like to say gaga but it doesnt sound like anything gaga's ever done either. This song is totally a Flo Rida reject which is way worse imo

The first verse is actually pretty nice - so is the beginning instrumental. The chorus is very catchy but honestly I don't understand what Starships have to do with dancing & having fun but whatever. The dance breakdown is AWFUL. The rest of the song is terrible.

I only like the beginning. It sounds like a Moves Like Jagger/Judas/The Time/California Gurls jumble.
