It's about a personal life and should it affect the Grammys. Both are personal life issues so both are equal to each other in this thread about their effect on the Grammys

I think its far more significant when an artist wins a Grammy over creation made of personal experiences, such as Adele's "21" or Dixie Chicks "Not Ready to Make Nice". For me, it gives them MUCH more credibility and honor because they were able to make art out of pain.

For 2012 onwards, the Grammys decided to combine Best R&B album and Best Contemporary R&B album into one category, so they could cut down. Chris would have been nominated in the latter, so y'all can cut it with the "not R&B" crap.

Album sales have nothing to do with the Grammys. It's mostly based on critical acclaim which F.A.M.E. has none of.
